Silent People “Serra Pelada”

extract from “Silent People” (2016, Italie) – Aut Records

I remain mesmerized by those electronics and drums that remind me of night butterflies attracted by- and prisoners of lanterns during summers nights.

I picture them twirling frantically, bumping and hurting themselves, endlessly.

The title Serra Pelada is surely a reference to the ‘naked’ mountain in Brazil, which was one of the largest gold mines in the world. From that point, I guess Stefano Meucci and Gianpaolo Camplese had in mind the men mad quest for gold, as these butterflies losing themselves believing that electric light is life.

Anyway, brilliant song I can listen to endlessly.
